Our hiking adventures in Zion National Park would not be complete without hiking the dangerous & thrilling Angels Landing. Elevation is 5785 ft, in which you gain about 1488ft in 2 1/2 miles. The last 1/2 mile are where chains are used. This was my favorite hike in Zion! Not so much Jose's favorite.

My suggestion is to start very early to avoid heavy traffic of people going up and down the chains part of this hike. It was also suggested to us to try late afternoon, when crowds are less, but it may get windy during that time.
