Welcome to our Kids Leadership Channel @Propa Kids. The word 'Propa' is an acronym from the words Proper Parenting. Proper parenting entails being present in the developmental journey of your child and investing quality time in training them to be upright and responsible citizens.
In this lesson, we examine greed in the area of our pursuit for money. We discuss wrong ways to obtain money such as gambling, stealing and bribery.
The primary lesson in the story is that leaders should never steal money or unscrupulously use money that does not belong to them. Money is good because it helps us buy goods and services that satisfy needs and wants, but it only brings inner satisfaction if we obtain it the right way. In other words, a leader must have integrity in how they acquire their money and wealth.
Character development does not happen by accident nor is it a byproduct of good intentions or wishful thinking. Rather it is a process involving intentional interventions. It involves a deliberate action of training them to do the right thing. It is not enough to provide material comforts for your child. That is a basic minimum. We must prepare our children to cope with the pressures of life by reinforcing the inner core of their being. Propa channel is all about investing leadership values and strengthening the character of the child. In so doing, we reinforce the social pillar of our society and world.
‘Leaders Respect Others’ is the first in a series of books titled Leadership Keys. This is a series of books designed to teach kids creativity, knowledge construction and how to think critically in the context of leadership principles and ideal social values.
