After being falsely accused of a crime he never committed, Pastor David Robinson is shipped off to a penal colony to serve out an eight-year sentence. His wife Lara and their four children are allowed to accompany him. A storm strikes the ship and the family gets out of the boat and on to an island, salvaging as much as they can from the boat.
