We recently got an electric oil press capable of pressing sunflower seeds still in the shells. Using 18 lbs of the seeds we grew, we pressed 1.5 quarts of sunflower oil.
This machine is a 120VAC, 400 Watt electric oil press and we paid $289 for it.

Any smaller and it would overheat. Any larger and it would have cost a lot more.
Yield is 1 cup of oil per 3 lbs of sunflower seeds, (still in shells). Pre-heat the screw for 20 minutes before pressing.
This machine will press 1 lb of seeds every 15 minutes. 4 lbs per hour.
