Akhtar Ali, former Deputy Superintendent of RG Kar Medical College, has claimed that he filed a complaint against former Principal Sandip Ghosh. According to Ali, Ghosh was involved in several illegal activities, including trafficking biomedical waste and medical supplies, such as gloves and syringes, through Bangladeshi contacts. Ali alleged that Ghosh also sold unclaimed bodies and demanded a 20 percent bribe for all tenders.
He accused Ghosh of extorting money from students who failed their exams, leaving many students victimized. Ali added that Ghosh had significant influence and maintained a powerful nexus.
