Le Corbusier's "Toward an Architecture"
October 1, 2009
Published in 1923 by Le Corbusier, Vers une architecture (Toward an Architecture) was based on articles printed in the magazine L'Espirit Nouveau, founded by the architect and the painter Améée Ozenfant in 1920. Its impact was immediate on architects throughout Europe. Le Corbusier's book affected the way his contemporaries considered the relationship between architecture, technology and history, and provoked an unending series of polemics. As new translations appear in many languages, including Arabic, recent interpretation and archival research invite a reconsideration of this influential book's genesis and structure. - See more at: [ Ссылка ]
