Hey guys, a new video today.
And this time something a little different, this isn't your typical shaving video.
I decided to create something a little different for all of you today and it's a compilation of my favourite soaps/scents.
Let's get this rolling.
The Noir Et Vanille by Noble Otter
Notes:
Bergamot, Loose Black Tea, Jasmine, Strawberry, Vanilla
I get so much of the tea in this scent. The namesake translates to "Black Tea and Vanilla" and this really rings true with this scent. I get a good blast of loose black tea leaves with a subtle rounding of bergamot and a sweet vanilla.
Bombora By Australian Private Reserve
Top Notes Include: Tangerine, Cedrat, Lemon, Bergamot, Lime & Aquatic Notes
Heart Notes Include: Sea Breeze, Narcissus, Freesia, Aldehydes, Watermelon & Ozone
Base Notes Include: Ambergris (NZ), Seaweed, Algae, Driftwood, Amber & White Musk
A lot of scent notes here and honestly, I think it's blended so well that - to my nose, I don't get them all. I get a lot of the 'Base Notes' here especially the Algae and Ambergris - it's rounded out with a crisp citrus.
It's certainly a unique scent and I'm not sure if there's anything like it.
Cole's Pond by Talbot Shaving
Notes:
Fir, pine, balsam, camphor, eucalyptus, amber, & cedar
Looking at these notes I'm a little surpised if I'm honest. I get a really mossy overtone to this scent and maybe that's what this combination of notes can make up and that was the intention. I believe Chad's intention with this was
creating a scent that brought back memories and where it doesn't have that amount of sentimentality to me, it's a wonderful scent and to be honest is exactly how he describes.
Pedro Fiasco by The Club and Shaving Shop
Notes:
Rosemary, red pepper, berries, bitter orange leaves, orris, jasmine, ylang ylang, vetiver, patchouli, tobacco absolute, hint of whiskey, sandalwood, cedarwood, musk.
For me, the notes are relevant here - it's what Peter has managed to do with this scent that's relevent. This is one of the most unique 'dupes' I've personally smelt. He's managed to capture the essence of the cologne and
really capture it as his own. This is for me, the best cologne replication scent there is.
NYChypre by Grooming Dept
Notes:
Hyacinth, lily of the valley, petitgrain, bergamot, rose, galbanum, black currant, melon, mimosa, geranium, black pepper, coriander, musk, precious woods
This is an incredibly well blended scent and because of that I'm unable to easily decipher one from another. I getg a wonderful blend of sweet, spice and musk. It's a very well executed scent and the main reason I like this one
is it has a real presence, it fills a room with it's aroma.
I hope you enjoyed this video!
