In the year 2017, a project that would become the world’s biggest smart city was approved, and it would be located in no other than the new Manila Bay. Yes, this is the 407-hectare reclamation mega-project known to be the City of Pearl, and it would be a city so advanced that it is actually run by artificial intelligence.

This metropolis is composed of only the finest living the world can find, even in each building, whether low or high rise, they will be able to enjoy the unparalleled view of Manila Bay, along with a world-class golf course. This is to ensure that the City of Pearl will be one of the world’s most extravagant livings.

There will also be a central business district where iconic skyscrapers, top-class commercial areas, and likewise 5-Star Hotel. A central park will be implemented in the port where it has a 3 kilometer long river-side shopping sector, making it Asia’s best entertainment center.

The thing that makes this place iconic is that commercial zones, recreational and residential districts, top-class casino’s, extravagant yacht clubs, and convention centers are positioned perfectly in the entrance of the metropolis. This means that the property value of the lands surrounding this city is surely something that you can only find in the most expensive cities in the region.

To go into detail, a Marina Club will be constructed where it would unquestionably be hailed as a place where only the elites among elites go. The design of this club will make sure that its facilities will be nothing but world-class. A convention center will likewise be built called the M.I.C.E, it is where first-class international exhibitions are held; I am certain that only the most exclusive events in the world will be carried here. It will also have a Mega-Stadium where sports activities will be held, and the most important factor to mention is that this will be named as the Pac-Man Stadium, to show the world the Philippines’ fighting spirit.

To ensure that everyone can come and go into the metropolis, it will have the most advanced driverless railway system where the whole place is connected through a loop road network. Making it a dynamic transportation link so that traffic congestion will never be a problem to the metropolis.

While it is the world’s largest smart city, it is also planned to be a green living where renewable energy are produced to ensure that pollution is not seen in any parts of the metropolitan area, but this isn’t obviously a guaranteed fact as the neighboring cities near this is known for producing bad-air quality mainly because of its traffic congestion.

This megacity is designed by Hong Kong’s prominent architectural firm Ho Partners Architects Engineers and Development Consultants. It is a top-notch company that is recognized for designing several master plans around the world. They were the ones behind Lakeside City in Malaysia, Sriracha Creative District in Thailand and a project called Alpha Square located in one of London’s new central business district Canary Wharf.

One of the executives of Ho Partners is Nicholas Ho, known for winning several awards around the globe, and according to him he has said that “None in Asia has this scale of development in such a prime location with such a visionary approach. There are many townships in Asia, but those townships are in the middle of nowhere. New Manila Bay is prime in terms of its location and has a 360-degree ocean view.”

This just makes it quite an exciting feat for this city, as we know who is actually designing it. This is surely one of the most impressive projects around the earth! It will boost the entire country of the Philippines into a new level of contemporary living.
