This video is an introduction to some of the basics of teaching language using the Zoom application, and is made specifically for the Columbia University language community. It is meant to help instructors familiarize themselves with some of the basic features of Zoom, provide a few initial points about language pedagogy in the distance format, and raise some important considerations regarding the particular circumstance of the COVID-19 outbreak.
