Dry brushing along the neck region as shown is where the vagus nerve runs. Helping increase the vagal tone, allows our body to be more stress resilient in shifting from fight or flight and back to rest and digest properly... as needed!
Dry brushing along the tummy is thought to help stimulate the vagus nerve due to the innervation it has within the gut region. The same holds true for visceral glides, which are in my upcoming Vagal toning and Cortisol Reset Program!
When we have a healthy nervous system and vagal tone we can:
- fall asleep and stay asleep
- lose belly fat more easily
- regulate our cortisol
- no longer deal with random bloat
- help our hormones
- build a stronger immune system
- handle stressful situations better and not be so reactive
