...Source: [ Ссылка ] Transcript: Per InsideEVs, YouTuber WhistlinDiesel conducted a durability test on a Tesla Cybertruck. During the test, the Cybertruck's rear subframe snapped off. The YouTuber attributes the flaw to the aluminum composite used in the Cybertruck's structure. In contrast, Ford's traditional truck frames, including the all-electric F-150 Lightning, use steel.
WhistlinDiesel then dropped a gas-powered Ford F-150 on concrete blocks to prove its steel frame's durability. The F-150's frame bent but did not break after 40 drops from 5 feet high. The Cybertruck, priced at $100,000, is rated to tow up to 11,000 pounds. However, the hitch snapping off raises safety concerns. The YouTuber claims another Cybertruck lost its tow hitch on the highway after hitting a bump. Attempts to get a response from Tesla were unsuccessful.
