Index Now - Speed Up Website Indexing

IndexNow protocol is an easy way for websites owners to instantly inform search engines about latest content changes on their website . this allows instant crawling and dicovery of the URL.

Index Now allows the content changes to be reflected quickly,search engines know immediately the "URLs that have changed, helping them prioritize crawl for these URLs.

without IndexNow it can take days to weeks for search engines to discover that the content has changed, as search engines don’t crawl every URL often.

Currently Microsoft Bing and Yandex adopted the IndexNow, Google not adopted currently but the testing the IndexNow will be enabled in future

Search Engines adopting the IndexNow protocol agree that submitted URLs will be automatically shared with all other participating Search Engines. You do not need to submit to both Bing and Yandex’s URLs, you just need to pick one and all search engines that are part of this initiative will pick up on the change.

You can submit up to 10,000 URLs per post, mixing http and https URLs if needed. Automate submission of URLs as soon as the content is added, updated, or deleted

To submit URLs, you must "prove" ownership of the host for which URLs are being submitted by hosting at least one text file within the host.

Once you submit your URLs to search engines, search engines will crawl the key file to verify ownership and use the key until you change the key. Only you and the search engines should know the key and your file key location.

You must host a UTF-8 encoded text key file {your-key}.txt listing the key in the file at the root directory of your website.

Each site should have the own key enabled.

Google currently does not support IndexNow but they are testing IndexNow, should be enabled in near future
