Maggie's Centre is a facility created in accordance with the wishes of Maggie K. Jencks, who died of cancer. At the facility, visitors can talk with ease about their insecurities, and in the process regain their vitality and rediscover the joy of living.
Like the architectural works designed by the many famous architects who have advocated the philosophy of Maggie’s Centre, the garden also plays an important role.
This exhibition considers the relationship between the architectural space and garden through the lens of Maggie’s philosophy, exploring the possibilities of architectural design and the effects that space can have on people with cancer and their family and friends.
