Ep. 24 of Gun Table Talk. The 1805 Harpers Ferry pistol. In today’s episode, I’m gonna be going over a pistol that ties into the history of the United States of America. This particular pistol was the the first handgun to be designed and produced in America. This handgun was also one of the first to have a front sight design, as of most pistols before that we’re all smooth barrels. This handgun saw many conflicts throughout American history all the way up to the Civil War and came in both flintlock and percussion designs.
This video will not be demonstrating the loading and firing sequence of this particular handgun that will be for a later video down the road. I do not consider myself a historian, so if you believe I left out information or got something wrong please let me know in the comments down below.
Thank you so much for watching!👍🏻
