The CFR 3555 changes to the USDA loan qualifying approval process have streamlined the process and made more properties eligible for a USDA loan. In this video, I discuss two of the major changes which relate to issues that I know have frustrated many of my clients in the past. The first relates to properties with an in-ground swimming pool… good news, they are now eligible. The second applies to properties in which the site and land value is more than 30% of the total value of the property… previously these properties were not eligible, but now the USDA will consider properties with the land and site value at more than 30% if the site size is typical for the area.
