Lower Body Range of Movement and Flexibility
The exercises performed in this session will support improvements in flexibility and range of movement in the legs and hips while strengthening core.
Range of movement exercises are great to do as they can encourage the listed benefits below:
-Increase movement at a joint.
-Increase the function of a joint and the whole limb.
-Improve movement efficiency.
-Increase independence.
-Decrease pain.
The fitness assessment for this phase will be as follows:
Equipment: Tape measure
Protocol: Measure your comfortable stepping distance from the toe of your back foot to the heel of your front foot. Repeat on both sides.
Then...
Measure a side-step from the inside of both feet, repeat on both sides as the leading leg.

We recommend aiming to complete at least another 2 classes this week in addition to this one to get the most of the exercise classes.
Level 4 sessions are designed for people who can walk independently with a stick or a trekking pole indoors and outdoors on even surfaces.
