I spent most of the 2019/20 winter flying in shitty weather on my speed wing. Once the sun came out, it was time to try out my new XC wing, the Gin Explorer.
I was rusty at flying the bigger wings and not familiar with the handling of the Explorer. My timing on the weight shift and strength of the brake input on the wing overs was totally wrong causing me to swing too far under the canopy before leaning into the next turn. Luckily the wing was forgiving as I was very low to the ground. My Vario recorded -17m/s sink during the collapse.
Another lessoned learnt for next time.
