STORYLINE:
Archaeologists in Uruguay discovered a lime-covered skull Tuesday, similar to five other discoveries of human remains in clandestine graves on military property.
The remains found were topped by a slab surrounded by lime and had more fragments of human bones around them.
They will be subjected to forensic analysis as part of an investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office into 150 reports of people who disappeared during Uruguay's dictatorship.
The Forensic Anthropology Research Group of the University of the Republic of Uruguay found the human skull while excavating at the Army's 14th Parachute Battalion in Toledo, 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) north of Montevideo.
The Public Prosecutor's Office is investigating some 150 cases of human rights violations during the last civil-military dictatorship (1973-1985).
The samples of genetic material will be compared with the DNA bank of relatives of disappeared detainees.
