Southport locals have been helping to clean up and repair the area hit by a riot on Tuesday night (July 30).

Members of the local community rallied to rebuild this wall outside the mosque after it was damaged in last night’s disorder.

It took the team from Kingswood Homes and the mosque around three hours to repair the wall.

Merseyside Police said four arrests have been made following the riot, and in total 53 police officers were injured.
