In this episode, we take the massive SCX6 RC crawler and turn it into a long-range FPV rig with a lean-out camera that lets us see both the front and rear wheels while we crawl. It’s the ultimate slow-crawl experience, giving us that full-scale driver perspective while tackling tough terrain.

Nash and I built two of these beasts to crawl side by side, spotting each other through every tricky line. The real magic? We rigged up a custom FPV gimbal with lean-out and used the Radiomaster MT12’s trainer port—a feature usually only found on flight radios—to control our head-tracking system. Add in some open-source wizardry, and suddenly, it’s like we’re actually in the driver’s seat.
