Summary:(brief),
When 'Charles Malcolm Fraser' (1868-1949), donated 56 works of art on canvas to the 'City of Ormond Beach' (Florida), they were housed at what is now 'Ormond War Memorial Gardens and Gallery' (Museum). The original building, continues to be a unique structure on the beachside, of 'Ormond Beach, FL.', which was chosen to house the works of art.
A new gallery, office space, and rooftop observation deck were completed recently, along with a permanent, 'rotating' gallery of Malcolm Fraser's artwork. The gallery presents up to 10 works, at a time, for a given period, then, new works are hung on the gallery walls, after the new period begins.
The featured work, 'The Soul Escaping Death' , was completed sometime after returning from 'World War I' (exact date, not specific?)*. The theme was related to an incident which occurred while Fraser was a soldier in 'World War I'. The painting hangs in the gallery, and can be viewed during open gallery hours (check gallery for hours)*.
Also, within the short clip, 'Malcolm Fraser's WWI helmet', the painting 'The Rainbow', and painting 'Reunion After Resurrection'..
