Problems that should be controlled and noted during the building demolition process:
- Dust control: Adopt measures such as spraying water to reduce dust, setting up enclosures, and covering with dust-proof nets to suppress the dust generated during the demolition process. The construction waste should be removed or covered in a timely manner to avoid dust generation due to long-term exposure.
- Noise control: Reasonably arrange the demolition operation time and avoid high-noise operations during the residents' rest time. Select demolition equipment and techniques with low noise. For example, use hydraulic breaking hammers instead of traditional blasting demolition. Regularly maintain and service the equipment to reduce the abnormal noise caused by equipment failures.
- Construction waste disposal: Classify and collect the construction waste generated from the demolition. Recycle the recyclable materials such as steel bars and wood to reduce resource waste. For the non-recyclable waste, transport it to the designated waste disposal sites according to regulations for proper disposal. It is strictly prohibited to dump it randomly.
- Prevention of flying debris: Set up protective facilities such as protective nets and shelters at the demolition site to prevent flying debris such as concrete blocks and bricks generated during the demolition process from causing damage to surrounding buildings and pedestrians.
