In this video, I break down how to fish a fluke. The fluke is an excellent choice during any season to imitate a dying baitfish. It works best, however, in spring and fall when the fish are up shallow feeding up. Gear:
Rod: Shimano SLX 7’ Medium XF spinning rod, or a 7’ - 7’3” medium MF casting rod.
Reel: Daiwa Revros LT 2500, or a 7 - 8 gear ratio casting reel.
Line: 20lb braid p, 8lb flourocarbon leader, or for a casting rod, 12-14lb flourocarbon.
Hook: 3/0 Superline EWG
Lure: Zoom Super Fluke (Baitfish, White Ice, or Bluegill Flash), or a 6th Sense Flush.
Scent: Chartreuse or Clear JJ’s Magic.
