QUAD CORTEX PRESETS: [ Ссылка ]
12.10.24 - 12.31.24
I re-created my pedalboard in the Neural DSP Quad Cortex and now I'm torn... I'm torn because after years of spending countless hours dialing in the sweet spot in my pedalboard rig, I've now created a preset in the Quad Cortex that sounds as good, if not more realistic than my pedalboard & ACS1 setup. But that's enough of me talking, you have to take a listen for yourself.
In this video, I'm peeling back the curtain on how I was able to re-create my go-to pedals: Deep Six, Bender Fuzz, Belle Starr, Moonshine, Mobius, Timeline, BigSky, and ACS1 all inside of the Quad Cortex. I'll take you through the process of dialing in the perfect set of stereo amps in the Quad Cortex; how I utilized parametric EQ to match EQ the amps in the Quad Cortex with my real tube amp. This was game changing-
Next, we'll take a deep dive into the compression, fuzz, and overdrive fx I used. Including talking about whether to use models or captured pedals and their affect on the overall tone and frequency voicing.
Finally, I'll take you through my process of re-creating the unrecreatable: Strymon Mobius, Timeline, and BigSky. In truth, the modulation effects on the Quad Cortex are pretty top notch. But I haven't quite gotten the delays and reverbs to be quite as expansive. I think I stumbled upon something here that makes the internal delays and reverbs compete with the Timeline Tape and BigSky Cloud settings. Wave good-bye to your pedalboard... I kid. But in actuality, this Quad Cortex setting sounds really dang good. Like, even the washy, expansive, ethereal worship pedalboard tones seem pretty achievable in the unit.
Be sure to grab a copy of my Quad Cortex preset through the link to my Etsy store, like the video, share it with a fellow Quad Cortex user, and subscribe to the channel, if you haven't already-
