Today was considered an optional walking day. Many of our group used this day to take a stroll into Castaverde while the other half of the group walked a bit more of the Camino Primitivo!!

We chose to do the optional day hike today; 13km over some very steep terrain with an overall altitude change of nearly 300m over the way, giving us amazing views of the vistas around us!

We met a few cyclists from rural Spain while taking advantage of a quick cafe con letche (and bio break) stop and then a very nice pizza and cerveza at a pub in O Cadavo.

After our walk we transferred back to Longerela Casa Rural where we were greeted by our lovely hosts! This incredible property was renovated into a B&B style accommodation by 3 lovely humans who made us all feel as though we were part of their family!!
