Hey everyone! I saw someone do this with a toy top, but that looked like it took skill and practice. Instead, I have a drill and some cardboard so let's paint! I like this method because you can experiment with the speed and height of the disk to get different effects. You can also use more or less water in your paint for even more variety of effects.
Each painting will have an empty circle in the middle so think about what you might put in there. Or, leave it blank! It's totally up to you!
In this work I use:
I use Winsor & Newton Galeria Acrylic (Not Sponsored). I go through a lot of paint and I like the way it works on the canvas for the price per tube. It's also highly available in my area. I want to be sure the art I'm doing is duplicatable, at some level, for people looking for inspiration or to get started in their art. If you like an affordable paint, leave a comment and let the community know.
Tools you'll need:
Drill
Cardboard
long bolt or screw
Something to cover your workspace. The paint can go pretty far.
