The application Shows the possibilities of Industry 4.0. By ordering an individually marked part via an online platform. The status of production is visualized on a production monitor located on the production cell. When the part is produced, the system sends an e-mail to the person who ordered the part. This e-mail contains a picture of the part and all relevant process data. This data can also be retracted at any time by scanning the laser printed Data-Matrix-Code on the part. Thus we created a “smart-part”.
In addition the production cell shows how (process-) data can be read-out of connected peripheral devices and displayed in the NC5plus-HMI. This feature also allows to send data from the peripherals to a host computer, even if the peripherals are not directly connected to the host computer.
