Step 1: Prepare your lawn.
- Mow as low as you can.
- Use a rake to clear soil in problem areas.
- If you have a thick layer of thatch, use a dethatcher before overseeding.
Step 2: Apply seed.
- Choose a cool season grass if overseeding for the Fall and Winter.
- Spread seed evenly using a spreader. (We set ours to 12).
- Apply generously, about 8 - 12 lbs per 1,000 sq ft.
- Pay extra attention to bare spots.
Step 3: Apply Blend
- Blend is a mix of soil microbes, minerals, and fertilizer that have been proven to increase germination time and rate of successful germination.
- Apply Blend after applying seed.
- You can purchase Blend here: [ Ссылка ]
Step 4: Apply Top Dressing
- You can use any sort of top dressing you prefer.
- The trick is to help the seeds stay moist and slightly insulated.
- We prefer using compost or 'Amend' mulch.
Step 5: Keep Seeds Moist
- After seeding you want to water 3 to 5 times a day.
- Shallow watering is best when trying to germinate seed.
- Be sure to water when the sun is out. Heat + Water = Germination.
