I loved the new F smallpipe sound on the Blair chanter, and I wanted to make a video with some tunes that highlight the sharp 7 (in this case, E... but our "high G" on the highland pipes). This scale really adds some lovely brightness to George Allan and The Mason's Apron - more how you'd hear it on the fiddle or flute.

I'm playing a custom Blair Digital Bagpipe with black aluminum mounts, using the F smallpipe sound available as a free download.

The guitar is a Larrivée D-03R and it's been through the ringer 😬

The mic you see is an MXL 990, and is very, very affordable. I'm still learning - you never really stop, like in anything else - but I believe you can make just about anything sound decent with enough twiddling!
