Sky News Business Reporter Edward Boyd says Tuesday was “a bit of a quieter day” for the ASX 200 as it finished the day down 0.31 per cent.
“Oil prices and iron ore prices slumped overnight; that really caused energy stocks and the mining sector to be the worst performers,” Mr Boyd said.
“A few sectors were in the green today; consumer discretionary was the best of the bunch.”
