Shows footage from Saint Malo and action along the Loire river and US troops in Nantes and Orleans, France in August of 1944. Also shows scenes following the liberation of Angers and members of the French Underground being shown US weapons. Short battle sequences of mopping up rear guard German troops and attacking elements of the German 7th army near an aerodrome outside of Orleans where the Germans left 2,000 lb. bombs on the runways to prevent Allied planes from landing. narrated.
