Another old Betamax recording kindly donated by Marcus Brain. This was the first Sky at Night of 1982, broadcast on January 10, the day after a Total Lunar Eclipse in the UK. The whole of southern England had been cloudy, but the Midlands and north (including Suffolk, where I live) was clear! As well as mentioning the eclipse Patrick gives short shrift to the much hyped 'Jupiter Effect' and talks about the Winter Sky as only he could.
