Sports Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Amina Mohammed has fired the contractor in charge of the Wote Stadium in Makueni County over the slow progress of the project and handed it over to the national youth service.
The Sports CS who was accompanied by her compatriot Labor Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui toured the stadium today and was visibly unimpressed by the work that had been done. According to Amina who conducted an extensive assessment of the facility that was meant to have a stadium with a seating capacity of 10 thousand, the low number of workers on site during their visit was a worrying sign of nitram and traaphes enterprise's inability to deliver the project on time. Over 250 million Kenya shillings had been set aside for the project.
