Syrian Australians flooded Sydney’s streets last night to celebrate the fall of the Assad regime.
Despite the ongoing uncertainty in the Middle East, many refugees saw this as a step toward a democratic future.
As rebels took control of Damascus, the Australian Syrian community rallied with car parades, flooding the streets with Syrian, Palestinian, and Lebanese flags.
