Little Madason and his sabrecub Baumren have found Pankraz in the Ancient Ruins. All right! Now they must go find where Prince Harry is being held.

To the north in the waterway, there is another chest with a super-duper Elfin Elixir (time 1:19). This fully restores a party member's MP.

Ultimately, the party must sail the raft through the northeast opening (time 2:30). In the prison area beyond, they will find Prince Harry. Pankraz has some useful ways of opening doors, doesn't he? I wonder what Pankraz is trying to say about Harry's father.

After some dialogue, Pankraz will remain to fend off some monsters while Madason, Harry, and Baumren escape (time 4:46). So, now Madason is saddled with Harry, who is lackluster at the moment. Harry is at Level 1, only knows the Frizz spell, and cannot currently be controlled. The objective now is to board the raft, return to the previous room, and ride west, northwest, southwest, and south to the door leading back to the main room.

The kidnappers are too stoned to do anything (time 6:09).

Anyway, the party must try to escape through the entrance chamber (time 6:49). Before going, I suggest removing anything from Baumren that you don't want to lose.

On the way out, they will run into the recurring antagonist of the game, the despicable Bishop Ladja (time 7:15). Unfortunately, this enemy is way out of the party's league. If his fire breath and Frizzle spells don't get you, his critical attack will.

After the battle, another scene will take place (time 10:10). Pankraz will show up to fight Ladja's chess-themed lackeys. Father does just fine ... until the bishop plays a dirty trick (time 11:40). I feel sorry for what happens to Pankraz here. The music just sets the mood perfectly.

Pankraz has some words for Madason after the battle (time 13:59).

What a sad way to end the first part of the game!
