In this video David and Joy explain how, as APCC Leads for Addiction and Substance Misuse, they are working together to address the detrimental effects of addiction and substance misuse in communities.

"PCCs are ideally placed to address gambling, alcohol and drug-related crime whether holding partners to account or commissioning effective drug services and getting people into rehabilitation .
They advocate four things:
1. tough enforcement, both on drugs and the violence around drugs.
2. tougher sentencing
3. effective rehabilitation of those already addicted
4. impactful education, signposting the mental and physical injuries various drugs can cause.
