This year, Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi highlights Indian sculpture featuring 10 works by prominent sculptors from India and members of the Indian diaspora community in Australia. These artworks can be discovered along the exhibition trail on the 2km Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk.
The artists in the India Showcase are: Prof. Avantika Bawa, Shovin Bhattacharjee, Harsha Durugadda, Teja Gavankar, Niharika Hukku, Prof. Latika Katt, Dr. Subodh Kerkar, S.D. Hari Prasad, Shaumyika Sharma, and Ayesha Singh.
The India Showcase highlights the strength and diversity of sculpture in India, and we are grateful to the artists who worked with us despite the significant freight disruptions caused by this year’s cyclones.
The India Showcase is made possible thanks to funding from the Centre for Australia-India Relations, the Howarth Foundation, the Indian Consulate-General in Sydney and Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre.
Please join us on the Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk to see these artworks on display now until Monday 4 November.
