Hello welcome to another video of Cotonou. Whether you are poor, rich or Super Rich, Cotonou should be top on your list of countries to visit or want to live in. In this video i show you the areas where a lot of the poor, rich and super rich people in Cotonou live.
Now lets start with the area where a lot of poor people in Cotonou live. Number 1. Akpapka. This area is called Akpapka in Cotonou. Its suppose to be a slum as you would expect but obviously its not a slum. Majority of the people that live here are poor but they don't mind because they are comfortable. To rent an apartment in this area you can expect to pay anything from only 30$ to $150 per month depending on the number of bedrooms and the house finishing.
Number 2. JONQUET, ZONGO and other areas. These are some of the middle class areas of Cotonou where people who are very comfortable live. Rent around these here go for between 120$ to 300$ per month which obviously is great considering that when you live here you will be in an area where your favorite restaurant and bars are all within walking distance to you.
The quality of life in Cotonou is not only very good, it is under estimated. They say life expectancy in the country Benin is good at 65 years. Actually I believe its much better. The real life expectancy should be nothing less than 70 years old and that's because life is very easy and comfortable in Cotonou.
Number 3, Marina Boulevard, Haie Vive, and Cocotier. Whether you are white, black, American, Indian or Chinese you have to be wealthy to live in any of these areas especially the estates around Marina Boulevard. You can tell that the area is for the extremely rich by the height of the fences. Rent here cost anything from $1000 to $3000 per month.
So there you have it. If you are considering moving to Cotonou you can be sure of living somewhere suitable for your budget and in anycase you will be very comfortable and happy with the ease of life.
