This video shows the aerial view on the construction progress of the Marina (CMS) train station as the station is the only station for the blue line project left as at November 2022. Presently there’s a lot of construction works ongoing from the national Art Theatre to Marina which is the part left to complete the project from Mile 2 to Marina after which works will resume on the Mile 2 to Okokomaiko section of the Lagos rail mass transit the blue line project. This section is slated to be completed by fourth quarter of 2022 and subsequently start operations as well.
The Marina station is presently been constructed for the blue line project but it will also serve as the converging point for the red line and green line as well in the future.
The Lagos rail mass transit is an urban rail system being developed and managed by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority(LAMATA).
LAMATA has proposed seven lines in the Lagos network; Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Brown and Orange. There are two lines under construction presently which are the blue and red lines.
The blue line is a 27.5km rail line that starts from Marina to Okokomaiko. This line will have 13 stations.
