This video is a time-lapse of a timber frame extension I built for a client.
The pictures were taken over a two month period but in total it took about 3 weeks to complete.The building measures 5M x 3.1M and will be used as a dining room / home office.

Materials used;
Cast in-situ reinforced concrete pads
1200 gauge polythene
Primed and painted steel RSJ's
175 x 44mm treated timber for floor joists
100mm rigid insulation in floor, held up with treated 50 x 22mm wood
SIGA airtightness membrane
18mm Osb for floor and roof deck
150 x 44mm wall studs
9mm Osb outside of walls
175 x 44 roof joists
100 x 44 & 18mm Osb for parapets
EPDM roof membrane
Lead flashing to existing building
Rothoblass rain barrier on walls
Rothoblass and partel tapes to seal membrane on inside & outside of window & doors
Charred larch cladding on battens.
2 black triple glaze Aluminium lift and slide doors
1 black triple glaze Aluminium window
Composite decking for steps
pressed metal flashings for plinths and top of parapet
72mm insulated plasterboard on internal walls and ceiling
Skim finish on int walls
10mm click laminate oak flooring on underlay
All electrical completed by registered Electrician.
