Mahasthan or Mahasthangarh represents the earliest and the largest archaeological site in Bangladesh, consists of the ruins of the ancient city of pundranagara.
The village Mahasthan in Shibganj thana of Bogra District contains the remains of an ancient city which was called Pundranagara or Paundravardhanapura in the territory of Pundravardhana.
It is the place of Palace of King Porshuram.
The site is 13 km north of Bogra town on the Dhaka - Dinajpur highway.
