Claudia Sheinbaum has swept to victory in Mexico's presidential election, making history as the first woman to hold the office. As the hand-picked successor of leftist president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, the former mayor of Mexico City was always favorite to win. The president-elect faces some big challenges, including migration, relations with the United States, and the country's rampant drugs-related violence.
