This week, we're chatting with Dr. Veronica Eyo, a licensed clinical social worker in Los Angeles who specializes in working with mothers. We're talking about the power of connection, maternal mental health, and how to honor the season you're in.
Dr. Veronica Eyo is an LCSW in Los Angeles who specializes in working with mothers, new and seasoned, in navigating the challenges of parenthood. She has worked with clients throughout different stages of life, however, she transitioned her practice to working with mothers, specifically mothers of color, after she became a mom and noticed a lack of representation in therapists during her personal healing journey.
Dr. Eyo has a special passion for student mothers and focused her dissertation research on identifying the factors that influence the success of student mothers in higher education institutions. She has advanced training in diagnosing and treating antenatal and Perinatal Mental Health Disorders (PMADs), as well as trauma and infertility.
She is certified in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International and a certified Fair Play Facilitator. Additionally, Dr. Eyo is certified in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
