China is the country's biggest trading partner - little wonder then that this year the South African government will focus on strengthening bilateral ties. Last year Chinese President Xi Jinping and President Jacob Zuma exchanged letters of congratulations on the launch of the South Africa Year in China and the China Year in South Africa. It's seen as a broadening of the relationship between the two countries. Angelo Coppola reports
