Biography

Carla Rees combines an international performing career as a soloist, improvisor and chamber musician with work as an academic, composer and arranger. She is Artistic Director of rarescale. [ Ссылка ]
Gavin Stewart is working towards a PhD exploring the capabilities of the Kingma system flute. He is a member of BCMG’s NEXT programme and active ensemble player.
Sophie Hooper recently graduated from Royal Holloway University with a 1st class honours degree in music. She begins postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music in September.
rarescale Kingma Ensemble explores a diverse range of repertoire, incorporating both historical and Kingma system flutes. The ensemble works closely in collaboration with composers to develop new repertoire and to demonstrate the versatile voice of the flute family.
