Australian Strategic Policy Institute’s Malcolm Davis says he thinks one of the reasons security cameras linked to the Chinese government were placed at Australian government buildings was because they were the “cheapest option”.

“The Chinese government deliberately subsidised this particular sector of their high-technology economy to ensure they can offer the cheapest product so they can get placement of that product where they want it,” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
