Cardiologists and doctors use different tools to look at the heart. ECG’s are surface electrical interpretations of what’s going on beneath the surface. Echocardiography, or ultrasounds of the heart, help us rule in or rule out the clues from an ECG. They show us active damage or prior damage to the heart.
