Early morning temperatures just above zero didn't stop 1,000 runners of all shapes and sizes running through the centre of Reading for the first ever Santa 5k run.
Organised by the Reading Rotary Club, the race saw runners head from Forbury Gardens toward Broad Street, the Oracle and then past the old prison, before finishing back at the Gardens.
Nick Buckle was first to cross the line, and he was followed by Thomas Chennell and Kieran Tatum. Meanwhile the first woman to finish was Amber Gascoigne.
