Romanian chocolatiers launched their collections of sweets and gifts for the winter holidays at the sweetest festival in Bucharest. Foodies of all ages rushed to discover novel products and unique flavors, such as chocolate with fried pork skin and mulled wine candies.

Romania's most talented and award-winning praline makers brought internationally renowned products to the festival.

The Romanian chocolate market is valued at around €600 million, but local production accounts for only 10%. Romanians are among the world's biggest chocolate lovers, with an average consumption of almost 5 kg per capita, well above the global average of 1 kg.

The chocolate festival will run all weekend.
