Developing more diverse and inclusive opportunities are the focus of “The State of Latinos in Media 2020.”
Felix Sanchez, Chairman & Co-founder of the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts, highlights the current national conversation on ways to building awareness and prospects for Hispanics in the media and entertainment industries.
For over 25 years, Felix has worked at the intersection of politics and entertainment, promoting Hispanic and other diverse voices in the media. He co-founded the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts (NHFA) in 1997 with actors Jimmy Smits, Sonia Braga, Esai Morales, and Merel Julia. The organization seeks to advance the presence of Latinos in the media, telecommunications, and entertainment industries.
Since its inception, NHFA has served the nation through diversity promotion, groundbreaking studies, graduate school scholarships, talent and content development, patronizing the arts, promoting civil rights in the digital age, training corporations, and monitoring the media. Felix has also served on national Presidential campaigns and worked on the Hill.
The National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts is the leading national Hispanic organization to advance the presence of Latinos in the media, telecommunications and entertainment industries.
The Foundation also concentrates on increasing access for Hispanic artists and professionals while fostering the emergence of new Hispanic talent and content.
